The new additions bolster OptiTrack’s popular PrimeX 41 camera line, which powers precise motion tracking at a range suitable for most applications. The expansion also reinforces the 3D motion tracking leader’s commitment to developing hardware and software that addresses the unique requirements of customers’ applications.
The launch of the SlimX 41 and PrimeX 41W is on the heels of OptiTrack’s recent expansion of the company’s Corvallis, Ore. headquarters and manufacturing facility. In September, OptiTrack announced a new 25,000-square-foot manufacturing building doubling its production capacity to better meet demand for high quality 3D tracking solutions as well as shorten lead times for customers worldwide.
“The new SlimX 41 and PrimeX 41W round out the PrimeX 41 line, our most impactful mocap camera family,” said OptiTrack Executive Vice President Stephanie Hines. “We’re proud to address customer demand for more options for their movement capture needs. And with our upgraded and expanded manufacturing facility, we’re equipped to get these new models in the hands of customers quickly while continuing innovating and future motion tracking requirements.”
In addition to allowing for greater tracking range, compared to the elegant, high-precision SlimX 13 camera, the new Slim X 41 maintains affordability for larger operations. The camera features two infrared LEDs enabling easier aiming and focusing, which can also be used in continuous calibration in select niche applications. The camera is ideal for supplementing existing Slim X 13 systems or building new systems with enhanced tracking capabilities.
With OptiTrack’s new PrimeX 41W, customers benefit from key features of the PrimeX 41 camera as well as more field of view. The camera supports wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling tracking with more vertical field of view than the PrimeX 22.
The SlimX 41 and PrimeX 41W are available now and will be on display December 2-5 in Orlando at I/ITSEC 2024 in OptiTrack Booth #1900. For more information, visit www.optitrack.com/cameras.
