Syngrafii, the e-Signature company whose products include the “iinked Sign™” and “Video Signing Room™” software, as well as the LongPen® remote signing device, is pleased to announce that Janne Duncan has joined the company as General Counsel, effective immediately. In this important role, Janne will oversee the company’s legal affairs, compliance, governance, and risk management functions.

“We are delighted to welcome Janne Duncan to Syngrafii,” said Matthew Gibson, co-founder and CEO of Syngrafii. “Janne is a respected senior lawyer and governance expert with international legal experience and a proven track record in strategic planning, compliance, governance best practices, and risk management. She will help us navigate an increasingly complex legal and regulatory environment in the e-Signature industry and will be an invaluable member of the senior team.”

Janne succeeds Scott Nettie, who served as General Counsel for six years. “I greatly enjoyed my time as General Counsel at this exciting and innovative company, and I wish Janne much success with our fantastic team,” said Nettie. “I look forward to continuing my relationship with Syngrafii by assisting in the expansion of the company’s international goals, particularly in Latin America, where I am based.”

Matthew Gibson added: “I want to thank Scott for his dedicated service as General Counsel throughout a transformative period of strong growth. In that role, he served Syngrafii with distinction and contributed enormously to our success.”

Prior to joining Syngrafii, Janne was a senior partner at the Toronto offices of leading international law firms Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP and, before that, Fasken Martineau Dumoulin LLP. She has advised public and private companies operating in Canada and globally across the capital markets, mining, agribusiness, technology, and supply chain sectors.

“I am excited to help strengthen Syngrafii at a time when it is expanding globally and to work with an incredibly talented and experienced team,” said Janne.

A native of Calgary, Janne holds a BA in English and History from the University of Toronto, as well as an MA in English Literature and an LLB from Queen’s University.
